Combined Seasonal Contract, Grass, Hedge and Tree Care Year-Round

The most common question we get in summer is "do you only mow grass?" and in autumn "do you also handle the leaves?". Both answers are yes, but the right answer is: we do everything, year-round, and it gets better and cheaper if we do it together.

Here is how a combined contract works, what it costs, why it pays off, and how the RUT cap is used most efficiently.

What is included in a year-round contract?

We adapt every contract to the lot, but a standard line for a villa lot in Bjärred, Falsterbo or Limhamn looks like this:

Spring (April-May)

  • Spring cleanup: Raking, picking up twigs, review of beds
  • First lawn cut when growth has started (usually weeks 14-16)
  • Lawn aeration as needed
  • Fertilisation and iron sulphate for Limhamn lawns with high pH
  • Hedge trimming round 1 for formal hedges (April-May)

Summer (June-August)

  • Lawn mowing every week during peak growth, every other week in dry periods
  • Trimming and edging every other mowing
  • Hedge trimming round 2 for standard hedges (July) More in our guide
  • Stone-fruit pruning of plum and cherry (June-July)
  • Watering during drought according to zone plan

Autumn (September-November)

  • Leaf raking ongoing September-November
  • Autumn cleanup and haul-away
  • Last lawn cut (October, normally 30-35 mm to prevent snow mould)
  • Summer pruning of apple and pear (July to September) Tree pruning page
  • Winter prep: Pots in, sensitive plants covered

Winter (December-March)

  • Snow removal with seasonal contract (we dispatch automatically after snowfall)
  • Anti-slip with sand or salt
  • Tree removal of planned risk trees (best when frost is in and canopy is bare)
  • Emergency storm response as needed, contract customers prioritised

Optional add-ons

  • Tree removal of diseased or risk trees
  • Stump grinding after felling
  • Robotic mower installation and maintenance
  • Bed care: Planting, weeding, fertilising, pruning
  • Ground work and paving (not RUT-eligible, but can be included in fixed price)
  • Pre-sale valuation: The garden is tidied up before broker photos

Three concrete advantages of a combined contract

1. Lower price per task

We schedule your garden into an efficient rhythm. The mower is already in the area every Thursday in Bjärred. Adding hedge trimming on the same route is significantly cheaper than a separate dispatch. The tree work in November fits in when we are out for leaf raking anyway. Combined, many customers see 15-25% lower cost compared to separate jobs.

2. Better RUT use

The RUT cap is 75,000 SEK per person per year. That goes far if you plan.

The RUT cap is 75,000 SEK per person per year. With the 50% RUT deduction, the labor cost is halved directly on the invoice for all RUT-eligible tasks: lawn mowing, hedge trimming, cleanup, snow removal, tree pruning and tree removal. Bundling everything with one provider also gives you a better price per task through more efficient scheduling and fewer dispatches.

3. One contact, one invoice, one team

You have one person to call when something happens. The same gardener gets to know your lot across seasons and knows that your oak needs inspection after the Babet storm, that the north-western corner of the lawn dries first in July, that the neighbour's lime hangs 50 cm into your bed.

That is security you do not get from spot jobs.

How is the contract invoiced?

Two options:

Per visit (most common)

You are invoiced after each work moment, usually 350-1,500 SEK per visit depending on what was included. The RUT discount is applied directly on the invoice. Clear and traceable.

Monthly even

The entire year's cost is split over 12 months, you pay the same amount every month. Good for budget planning, we settle small over- or under-amounts at year-end.

Both options give you an annual statement so you have full oversight of your RUT use and can plan if you approach the cap.

What does a site visit look like?

Before we sign a contract, we come out, normally 45-90 minutes:

  1. Walk-through of the lot with you as host, we note lawn areas, hedges, trees, beds
  2. Assessment of the lawn condition, moss, compaction, mowing height
  3. Tree inventory, diseases (ash dieback, elm disease), risk branches, planned work
  4. Seasonal plan with tasks per month
  5. Fixed-price quote promptly, RUT discount included
  6. Trial contract can be signed for one season first, if you want to try before multi-year contract

The inspection is always free and without obligation.

Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers to what we get asked every week. If yours is not here, just call, we are happy to help.

  1. 01What is the advantage of a combined contract?
Three concrete advantages: 1) Lower price per task because we schedule the garden into an efficient rhythm. 2) Better RUT use through bundled invoicing and oversight of the annual cap. 3) One contact, one invoice, a fixed team that gets to know your lot. Many of our Bjärred and Skanör customers see 15-25% lower total cost compared to ordering individual jobs.
  2. 02What can be included in a year-round contract?
Standard: lawn mowing April-October, hedge trimming twice per season, spring cleanup and autumn cleanup, leaf raking September-November, snow removal December-March. Optional: tree pruning at the right time, tree removal as needed, bed care, planting service, robotic mower installation, stump grinding. All RUT-eligible except planting and material cost.
  3. 03What does a year-round contract cost?
It varies with lot size and content. A villa lot of 600 sqm with weekly mowing, hedge trimming 2x, spring cleanup, leaf raking and snow removal is normally 15,000-25,000 SEK per season (April-March) before RUT, so 7,500-12,500 SEK after RUT. Large lots with more trees and beds cost more.
  4. 04How is a combined contract invoiced?
We can invoice per visit (most common) or monthly with even payment over the entire year. The RUT discount is always applied directly on the invoice. You also get an annual statement so you have oversight of your entire RUT use, which simplifies planning if you approach the 75,000 SEK cap.
  5. 05Which areas do your year-round contracts cover?
All our 17 service areas in Skåne. Most common are year-round contracts in Bjärred, Falsterbo, Skanör, Limhamn, Bellevue, Djupadal, Professorsstaden and Vellinge, areas with large villa lots and need for continuous service. We also take individual jobs, but contract customers are always prioritised and usually get a better price.
