Facade and exterior cleaning in Skåne
A clean facade is not just about looks, it also lasts longer. Algae, moss and grime slowly break down the surface layer and can lead to moisture damage if left unattended over time. NordVerk offers professional cleaning of facades, decks, roofs, wooden patios and other exterior surfaces across southwest Skåne. We adapt the method, pressure and cleaning agent to your specific substrate, render, wood, brick or concrete, and work systematically for an even result without streaks or damage.
What a facade cleaning includes
Every job is a complete treatment of the property exterior, not just a rinse:
- Facade cleaning for render, wood panel, brick and concrete using adapted pressure and the right nozzle. We work section by section for an even result without streaks.
- Deck cleaning with methods that do not damage the wood surface or raise the grain. Where needed we recommend follow-up oiling (quoted separately).
- Roof cleaning from ladder and platform, safe and controlled. Especially important for concrete and clay tiles where moss can lift tiles and cause leaks.
- Fences, screening and trellises cleaned gently at low pressure to preserve the wood structure.
- Garden furniture and outdoor kitchens brought back to life, we clean wood, metal and plastic surfaces.
- Anti-growth treatment applied after cleaning where needed, preventing moss, algae and lichen for one to three years ahead.
- Removal of all debris, sludge and waste produced during the work.
Different facade materials: different methods
Not all facades are the same. We adapt:
- Rendered facade, the most common type in Skåne. Low pressure and wide nozzles, sometimes with a mild cleaning agent to dissolve algae without damaging the render. Post-treatment with anti-growth protection is almost always recommended.
- Brick facade, classic on older villas. Low pressure and a gentler angle to avoid forcing water into the mortar joints. Loose dirt and algae removed without dulling the brick.
- Wood panel, common on summer houses and newer architecture. Very low pressure, often supplemented with a soft brush. Wood must never be pressure-washed head-on, it raises the grain and permanently damages the surface.
- Concrete and lightweight concrete, tolerates somewhat higher pressure but needs the right nozzle for an even result. Common on 1960s and 70s villas.
- Sheet metal and steel, garage doors, downpipes and metal roofs. Low pressure with rust-protective post-treatment where needed.
You do not need to know what material you have, we figure that out at the inspection.
When to do facade cleaning
Skåne's climate gives us a long season for exterior cleaning, from March to October:
- Spring (March to May): The best time. Temperatures are mild, surfaces dry properly after cleaning, and anti-growth treatment has time to take effect before the algae season starts in early summer.
- Summer (June to August): Works fine but we avoid the hottest days, cleaning agents dry too fast in direct sun and can leave marks. Morning and evening sessions work well.
- Autumn (September to October): Still possible, especially for decks and patios being prepared for winter. For facades, spring is better as you get a clean surface ahead of the full growing season.
- Winter (November to February): We do not clean facades in winter, the risk of ice forming in joints and cracks is too high.
One visit, the whole exterior
Most customers have the entire property exterior done in a single visit:
- Facade + deck + fence, one job, one invoice, one clean result.
- Facade + roof, especially common on villas with concrete tiles where moss needs removing.
- The whole plot, including garden furniture, outdoor kitchen, trellises and shed.
It is more efficient for us and cheaper for you than splitting across multiple visits.
Facade cleaning for housing associations and businesses
We have framework contracts with several housing associations (BRF) and property owners in Lund, Malmö and Lomma municipality. For housing associations we offer:
- Shared facades, entrance areas, stairwells and bin stores
- Parking areas, garage doors and walkways
- Multi-season planning so the entire stock is rotated
- Report to the board after each job
For businesses we focus on entrance areas, signage facades and customer parking, the first thing a customer sees.
50% RUT deduction, how it works
Facade and exterior cleaning on your own property is fully RUT-eligible:
- 50% tax reduction on labour costs deducted directly on the invoice
- Max 75,000 SEK per person per year (150,000 SEK for a couple in the same household)
- We handle all reporting to the Swedish Tax Agency, you do not need to do anything
Material costs (cleaning agents, anti-growth treatment, oil) are not covered by RUT, but for most facade jobs labour accounts for 85 to 95 percent of the total. Read more on our RUT page.
