Garden Maintenance in Skåne: All Year Round

A garden without ongoing care becomes either wild or lifeless. With a year-round contract from NordVerk you get one contact, one invoice, and a plan that covers everything, from spring cleanup in March to the last leaf raking in November, plus snow removal in winter if you want it. You skip booking individual visits, chasing different vendors, or worrying about what should be done when. We set the rhythm together in a free inspection.

What a year-round contract contains

A standard contract covers three main parts. We tailor scope and frequency to your garden:

1. Spring cleanup (March-April)

  • Raking of old leaves, twigs, and winter debris
  • Pruning of bushes, roses, perennials that need spring shaping
  • Fertilizing of lawn and beds with the right product for the season
  • Bed preparation: digging, soil improvement, weeding
  • Cleanup and preparation of paths and driveways (as needed)
  • Planting of spring flowers if you wish (bulbs, pansies, ornamental cabbage)

Spring cleanup is the season's most important intervention. It's where we set the foundation for how the garden looks all year.

2. Ongoing season care (May-September)

  • Lawn mowing every other week, trimming, edging
  • Bed care: weeding, fertilizing, dead-heading
  • Hedge trimming twice (June + August) for most varieties
  • Watering of pots and new plantings if you're away
  • Light tree pruning: removal of risk branches, shaping of bushes
  • Ongoing removal of all material. Nothing left behind.

3. Fall cleanup (October-November)

  • Leaf raking of lawns, beds, and driveways
  • Pruning of perennials and bushes that should be cut back for winter
  • Fall mowing of the lawn (slightly shorter than season level to prevent snow mold)
  • Winter preparation: covering of sensitive plants, draining outdoor faucets (on request)
  • Preparation for winter: furniture in, pots in or covered

Garden maintenance tailored to your ambition level

Not everyone wants the same thing. We offer three typical levels:

  • Basic package: Spring cleanup + lawn mowing every other week + fall leaf raking. High standard on the lawn, other surfaces maintained visually. Suitable for those who want a well-kept baseline without having to think.
  • Mid-tier package: Basic + bed care + hedge trimming twice. The garden is kept in very good condition throughout the season.
  • Premium package: All of the above + planting, careful bed care, perennial care, watering during absences, snow removal in winter. For those who want a garden that always looks inviting, and who don't want to think about it themselves.

We assemble your package based on what you need, not from a fixed menu.

Why a year-round contract is cheaper than individual visits

A few practical reasons:

  • Logistics: We're already routing equipment to your area. Marginal cost for an extra booked hour is low.
  • Priority: Contract customers are booked first. In urgent situations (snowfall, storm damage), contract customers come before one-off jobs.
  • Long-term garden: When the same team visits regularly, we spot problems early (voles, moss, fungal attacks, drought stress) and address them before they escalate.
  • No administrative overhead per visit: One quote per season instead of one per visit.

Contract customers benefit from streamlined logistics and priority booking, which makes ongoing care more efficient than booking individual visits.

50% RUT deduction on all care

Virtually everything we do in ongoing garden maintenance is RUT-eligible:

  • Lawn mowing, trimming, edging
  • Hedge trimming
  • Tree pruning and bush pruning
  • Weeding
  • Leaf raking and hauling
  • Snow removal and anti-slip treatment

Not RUT-eligible: planting of new trees/bushes, construction of new beds or paths, design, and groundwork. For those interventions you pay full labor price.

On the RUT-eligible portion 50% is deducted directly on the invoice, up to 75,000 SEK per person per year. We handle all reporting. More on the RUT page.

For HOAs: associations, and businesses

We have framework contracts with housing associations in Lund, Malmö, and Lomma municipality. Contracts include:

  • Common lawns, beds, and hedges
  • Leaf raking in fall
  • Snow removal and anti-slip treatment in winter
  • Emergency standby for storm damage
  • Monthly report to the board with completed interventions and any observations

For businesses (offices, restaurants, shops) we offer the same setup, often with extra focus on entrance areas, customer parking, and decorative plantings.

Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers to what we get asked every week. If yours is not here, just call, we are happy to help.

  1. 01What's included in a full-year garden maintenance contract?
A standard contract covers spring cleanup (raking, pruning, fertilizing), ongoing care in season (lawn mowing every other week, bed care, weeding, hedge trimming as needed), and fall cleanup (leaf raking, hauling, winter prep). Snow removal can be added as a winter component. Everything is adjusted to your garden and budget.
  2. 02When is the best time to start a maintenance contract?
Before spring cleanup in March-April is most common. That's when we set the season's foundation. But it works perfectly fine to start mid-season too; we then do a catch-up cleanup and set the rhythm from there.
  3. 03How often do you visit and what does it cost?
Frequency is tailored to your needs. Most common is every other week from May-September plus two larger interventions (spring + fall). The cost is reduced by 50% through the RUT deduction on labor costs, which is applied directly on the invoice. We always provide a fixed quote after a free inspection.
  4. 04Can you take care of beds, perennials, and planting?
Yes. We maintain beds throughout the season: weeding, fertilizing, dead-heading, dividing perennials, and planting new species. We can also produce a plant list and source materials for you. Note that plants and landscape materials aren't RUT-eligible, but the labor itself is.
  5. 05Do you offer contracts for housing associations?
Yes. We have framework contracts with several HOAs in Lund, Malmö, and Lomma municipality. Contracts cover common lawns, hedges, beds, leaf raking, and snow removal in winter. We report monthly to the board and accept add-on orders on a rolling basis.
  6. 06What if I'm dissatisfied with a visit?
We stand behind our work. If something does not meet your expectations, reach out and we will come back to make it right at no extra cost. We have long relationships with our customers and take feedback very seriously. That is how we have built the business.
